Gateway was designed by architects Peddle, Thorp & Walker and completed in 1989. This building has since undergone renovations, including a new statement entrance and lobby area that merges the building's original features with modern design elements. Designed by Hassell Architects, lobby highlights include a ‘river of lights’ and stylish contemporary furniture.

Gateway has also achieved a 5.0 star NABERS Energy rating and a 3.5-star NABERS Water rating.
