Designed by New York architects Kohn Pederson Fox, Chifley Tower’s design echoes the romantic stylism of art deco masterpieces such as the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings. Construction started in 1989 and the building opened in 1992.

One of the most advanced commercial office developments in Australia, Chifley Tower has over 80,000m2 of floor area. The building is an all-steel structure, with the north-facing glass sail feature embodying the city of Sydney.
